The National Institute of Accountants' (NIA) role is to ensure the needs and requirements of the members, the profession and the business community are maintained and protected. The framework of the NIA serves to protect and support these interests and to ensure the members gain appropriate recognition on a professional basis.

The importance of maintaining professional knowledge has never been greater than today. Not only, is there the need to keep up to date on tax, regulatory compliance and International Accounting Standards, there is also the need to broaden your knowledge on the impact of globalisation on business.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) helps to provide you with the knowledge which you need to ensure you are providing advice and which is both timely and relevant. CPE can also help to build and enhance your reputation when managing clients. The implementation of new concepts and ideas, learned through CPE programs, can improve your business practices and environment.

NIA regulary runs seminars and events as well as online courses in:
    Taxation
    MYOB
    Public Practise
    Superannuation
    and much more....

See future posts for details of upcoming seminars and courses.

We would also be interested in hearing about any other training that people have been to that they found of benefit or reviews on seminars, courses etc.

Tell us about your experiences!!

Date: 23 Sep 2010
Venue: Technology Park Function Centre 2 Brodie Hall Drive BENTLEY WA 6102

For business owners, growing a business is much like parenting a child. This is especially true when you consider that most small businesses start out as family businesses. The growing pains associated with businesses become an impediment to growth if not dealt with appropriately. The big question is, how do you fund the growth? Is the business structure robust enough to handle this? How an owner can "let go" of the business to allow it to grow? This seminar will take delegates through these typical business growing pains with the use of case studies and highlight some of the associated potential pitfalls and solutions. As family and privately owned businesses represent 97% of all businesses in Australia, it is more important than ever to understand this vital part of the economy and ensure businesses grows at the right pace.
